Engaging visitors in the waiting area

Stuttgart’s Long Night of Museums

At the Stuttgart Planetarium, Kinetarium is successfully deployed during the Long Night of Museums since 2024 to engage large crowds of visitors in the entrance and waiting areas. Since demand for shows in the dome theater was very high, waiting times were common—these were put to good use with multiplayer games via Cineplay.

Visitors could participate directly and play together on a large screen. Among the games used were Quizgalaxy with astronomy questions, Stellar Drifters, and Cosmic Carousel.

The installation helped make waiting times more entertaining and engaged visitors even before they attended the actual show.

Format:
Screen installation in the waiting area (Cineplay)

Attendance:
Very high visitor traffic during the event

Target audience:
General public, event attendees, families

“The interactive games were very well received and made the wait much more entertaining.”

— Ubbo Grassmann, Director of the Stuttgart Planetarium
