The Zeiss Grand Planetarium regularly hosts the gaming night “The Game is On”—an interactive multiplayer event in the dome where various Kinetarium games are played.

Playful Evaluation – Jena Planetarium
At the Jena Planetarium, Kinetarium is used as an interactive supplement to existing shows. In particular, the multiple-choice application Quizgalaxy is used to conduct brief surveys with the audience.

The planetarium must have a digital fulldome projection system (e.g., Vioso Anyblend, Screenberry media server) capable of accepting a real-time video signal (via screen capture or Spout). For systems with a single projector, experience has shown that setting up the Kinetarium client is very simple and can be done with just a few clicks.
The computer running the Kinetarium Client should have the following or comparable hardware:
Hard drive: 1.5 GB free space
RAM: 16 GB
Processor: 3.1 GHz quad-core Intel Core i7
Graphics card: GeForce RTX 3050 6 GB

The computer running the Kinetarium Client requires a constant and stable internet connection.
Visitors also need internet access on their mobile devices to participate. We recommend providing an open Wi-Fi network for visitors. If there is good cellular reception inside the dome, Wi-Fi is not required.
